What Does the Vial of Argumentative Smoke Do?
As an action, you hurl the sealed vial at a point within 30 feet of you. On impact, it shatters and releases a 10-foot-radius cloud of lightly obscuring smoke that lingers for 1 minute or until a strong wind disperses it.
Once during the smoke’s duration, you can use a bonus action to direct it. The cloud immediately locates a direction you choose and begins arguing loudly toward it — a stream of opinionated, semi-coherent debate that can be heard up to 60 feet away. The smoke has opinions and it will share them at length. The argument topic is chosen by the DM.
The smoke cannot be harmed, does not attack, and has no mechanical effect beyond light obscurement. The vial is consumed on use.
Drawback
The smoke’s argument is always slightly about soup.
GM Notes
Lightly obscured ≠ heavily obscured. The argument is a distraction tool, audible 60 ft.
Aura: Faint conjuration magic.
